Doctor

Dr. Joe. Hendricks , Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Hailing from Los Angeles, California Dr. Joe graduated from the University of California, Davis in 1982. He moved to Owosso, Michigan with his wife Susan (also a Vet) to work as an associate large and small animal practitioner. Starting Briarwood in March of 1990, Dr. Joe began working in small animal medicine in the wonderful community of Grand Blanc. His hobbies include fishing and playing the electric guitar. He has two girls, Kristen a Harvard Graduate, and Katie who is attending the University of Michigan. His "fur family" is Calla Rose a black Lab, and 2 cats Flame and Harry.

Dr. Amy Webb-Kallin , Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Amy Webb-Kallin is a 2003 graduate of Michigan State University. She is married to Dave and they have a beautiful daughter Mckenzie. Also living in thier household are 2 Austrailian Shephards- Onyx, Ozzy.

Management

Jennifer Wells , Certified Veterinary Assisitant

Jennifer Wells is the Practice Manager of Briarwood Veterinary Hospital. She is a Certified Veterinary Assistant and is currently enrolled at St. Petersburg College to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager.
She stared working at Briarwood in 1999 as the Kennel Team Leader, then receptionist and veterinary technician assistant. She has workied in all aspects of the veterinary hospital, and has a great understanding of how we work.
She lives in Davison and is married to Charlie. They have two children, Nathan and Allen(who works here as well!) They have two Labs, a Cocker Spaniel and two cats.

Jennifer , Licensed Veterinary Technician

Jennifer is a 1996 graduate from Macomb Community College with her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She has been employed at Briarwood since July of 1996 and is the technician team leader. Jennifer is married to Kevin. Her pets are Stasch, a Cocker Spaniel. Sophie, a Rat Terrier, Cricket , a Rat Terrier, Joe, a big black cat and a Parakeet named Buddy! Her hobbies include camping, 4 wheeling, flying (husband is a pilot!) horseback riding, and scrap booking. She truly loves her job here at Briarwood!

Rochelle , Licensed Veterinary Technician: Certifed Pet Groomer

Rochelle Naegle,LVT recieved her degree in veterianary technology from Baker College of Flint. She is also a Certified Pet Groomer. Married to Pete they have 3 Shetland Sheepdogs Gabby, Gracy and Grover and a Collie mix Willow. Rochelle also has Rabbits. Her hobbies are scrapbooking, pet grooming, and running.

Reception

Jan

Jan is the Receptionist Team Leader. She joined the Briarwood family in 1996 after retiring from the City of Flint. She is owned by Cedar, a German Shepherd ,Sage a Schnoodle, Birch her yellow lab and 1 cat Currie. Her hobbies include golf and traveling to her cottage up north.

Stacy

Stacy is one of the first faces you will see upon entering our doors. She has been a receptionist for Briarwood since 1997. She has a daughter named MacKenzie who is as cute as a button! She has three dogs, Maddie, Flossie and Max, a cat Wilma, and a Parakeet named Eve.

Melissa

Melissa is a Receptionist and a Technician Assistant. She has been employed at Briarwood since 1999. She has a daughter, Savanna. She has 1 dog, Daisy a Rat terrier and 4 cats, Tiny (who is not tiny at all), Layla, Little Callie and Hannah.

Susan

Susan is our newest receptionist here at Briarwood. She has 2 daughters, Kristelle and Chelsea. Her family is owned by 3 cats, Miss Kitty, Gabby (who lives up to her name) and Gigi the most lively of the bunch.

Kennel

Joanne

Joanne is one of our kennel assistants. She was a long time client of ours and is now part of our health care team! She has two lovely daughters and they help her out with their 3 dogs and numerous cats. Joanne also fosters kittens for the Humane Society of Genesee County.

Allen

Allen is our newest member of the kennel team! He graduated from Davison High School in 2007 and is currently enrolled at OCC in the Criminal Justice Program. His goal is to become a Law Enforcement Officer and then one day, become a member of S.W.A.T. Team. He has 2 cats, three dogs and loves playing Halo 3!

Jackey

Jackey joined our team this past year (2008)! She is married and has 1 dog named Olivia whom she rescued from the shelter and lives in the home of Cheesecake their new kitty!

Assistants

Rene , B.S. Zoology

Rene has been with the Briarwood Family since 2005. She is the Kennel Team Leader, the ACT Trainer and is in charge of making the puppy and kitten packs. She graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2003 where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology. She lives with two cats, Mortimer and Lily.

Tere has been a member of the Briarwood family since 2006. She lives in Burton with her husband Jim and two children, Catie and Christopher. She has 2 German Shepards and one chocolate Lab!

Amy

Amy is one of our wonderful technician assistants, who has been with us since early 2007. She lives in Flint with her boyfriend, Doug. They have 2 dogs, Juno a Pit mix and Bubba, a Shepherd Mix and 2 cats Sam and Sassy.
